New Boss - The Office (Season 5, Episode 20)

Michael is planning a party to celebrate his fifteenth anniversary at Dunder Mifflin. Unfortunately, it's on the same day that the new company vice president, Charles Miner, is visiting. Charles buys the staff lunch and reveals the truth about their 401(k) plans and the possibility of layoffs. Michael withheld that information to avoid worrying anyone. Charles begins taking up responsibilities that are normally Michael's. Michael is starting to wonder if his position is at risk. David Wallace advises Michael to get better acquainted with Charles, but he is unsuccessful. When Charles sees the Party Planning Committee planning Michael's party, he dissolves the committee, saying it's irresponsible to spend company resources on recreation while employees are being laid off. Michael then drives to New York to talk to Wallace since he hasn't been answering any of his phone calls.

In response to a memo written by Dwight about professionalism in the workplace, Jim wore a tuxedo to work. Of cource, Charles can't grasp why he's wearing a tuxedo... even though Jim explains that the tuxedo is a prank. Jim tries elevating his standing with Charles by discussing his position as Assistant Regional Manager, but when Charles presses him about the position, Jim confesses Michael made it up to appease Dwight.

Angela and Kelly are smitten by Charles. Their flirtations though make him uncomfortable. At the end of the day Kelly puts on more makeup to tempt Charles into asking her out, but he has left. Kelly runs out to the parking lot, finding Angela holding Charles's scarf and chases her. Angela says that Charles deserves better than Kelly.

Michael tracks down David Wallace in New York. Michael complains about being forced to drive to New York to talk to him, and that he deserves more respect after fifteen years at Dunder Mifflin. David agrees to fund and attend an anniversary party for him, but after realizing that David has no intention of changing Charles' way of doing things, Michael resigns.

I can tell Micheal's mood by which comedy routine he chooses to do. The more infantile, the more upset he is. And he just skipped the Ace Ventura talking butt thing. He never skips it. This is bad.
